Are you a writer looking to incorporate research into your creative work? Join us for an insightful, free workshop led by Ana Brawls, designed for writers who are new to research or those seeking fresh approaches to integrating research into their creative process.
Ana Brawls was the recipient of the Neilma Sidney Literary Travel Fund from Writers Victoria and The Myer Foundation earlier this year. In preparing for her next manuscript, Ana chose to research on location in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo visiting Libraries, Museums and Institutes preserving heritage and culture. Ana will use her writing process and research to demonstrate how to:
· Prepare and design research for creative work
· Methods for collating information
· Apply the findings into your work
· Lessons learned and the serendipity in coming across information
· Practice: Designing research to suit your work

The event will be held at Centre for Stories, Northbridge WA 6003. Centre for Stories is a wheelchair accessible venue.
The Perth train station is a 10-minute walk from Centre for Stories. The closest Wilson parking is 2 minutes away at Northbridge Central, 8/6 Errichetti Place.

Ana Brawls
Collapse BioAna is a Librarian and Emerging Writer originally from Brazil. She writes short fiction and poetry, and her work explores family traditions, myths, belonging, human condition and multiculturalism. Her poem, The Extinction of my Childhood, has been published at the Australian Poetry Anthology, vol. 9, 2021.
