Writing Change, Writing Inclusion Recipients Announced

Join us in celebrating the recipients of the traineeship program and the mentoring program.

October 18, 2023

Centre for Stories is excited to announce the latest recipients of our signature writing program, Writing Change, Writing Inclusion funded by The Ian Potter Foundation, Australia Council and Centre for Stories Founders Circle.

The Writing Change, Writing Inclusion writing program has been running since 2021 and is an extension of our successful Inclusion Matters (2019-2020) and Indian Ocean Mentoring (2018) programs.

The next phase of our Writing Change, Writing Inclusion program involves two streams: traineeship program and mentoring program. Our new traineeship program is designed for people who are early in their writing career and are ready to take the next steps to becoming mentors themselves. Trainees will also be paired with a mentee; these are emerging writers who have been selected for our mentoring program. Our mentoring program is designed for people who are newly emerging into the writing and literature space. We will pair mentees with a writer mentor who can guide them through the initial stages of their writing practice. Mentors will provide advice, editorial support, set tasks, and keep mentees accountable on their journey to becoming a writer. Both the traineeship and mentoring program will run for 6 months each.

Join us in celebrating the recipients of the traineeship program and the mentoring program. Congratulations!
