Death and dying. In one way or another, we’ve all been touched by someone’s else’s death or even come close to experiencing it ourselves.

Do you have an interesting story or perspective on death or dying? We are looking for people to interview for a new story collection that will share stories unique to the here and now in Western Australia, or challenge topics that are still regarded as taboo by our society.

Perhaps you know someone who received a Voluntary Assisted Death; you may have experienced a miscarriage or lost a child; maybe you have a unique cultural or religious perspective on death; you work as a palliative nurse, carer or even as a “death doula”; or perhaps you came back from the brink of death yourself.

Has COVID impacted the decisions you’ve had to make around losing a loved one? Do you work with the community’s most vulnerable in translating their final wishes into other languages? Or do you simply happen to know someone with a true story about death so incredible that others will find it hard to believe?

If you would like to participate in this collection by taking part in an interview, please send us your story suggestion by completing the form below or contacting us at submissions@centreforstories.com.
