Saga Sisterhood Live at The Blue Room Theatre

A one-night live recording of Saga Sisterhood at The Blue Room Theatre for Summer Nights.

Saga Sisterhood is a transformative performance project for women from communities who identify as South Asian that come from non-performer backgrounds but all have something to say. These stories come from Saga Sisterhood Part II and were generously made possible by the Alexandra & Lloyd Martin Family Foundation (ALMFF).

In 2023, a group of South Asian women were trained by Centre for Stories to share true stories from their lives. In 2024, a handful of this group went one step further with theatre development from The Blue Room Theatre. Under the guidance of expert storyteller and Blue Room Theatre CEO Sukhjit Khalsa, our storytellers Esther Marriott, Syarisa Yasin, Rekha Sekhon and Hojeswinee Kanagarajah went on to craft a live, one-night performance for Summer Nights, a series of theatre shows during The Blue Room Theatre’s summer season. This is the live recording of their show.
