CANCELLED: Buttonverse Art & Yarn Showcase

Celebrate the latest artworks from Walmajarri Yawuru artist and author Joshua Button and learn more about his ‘Buttonverse’ storytelling project.

Jul 25, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Centre for Stories

Joshua Button is a Walmajarri Yawuru artist, author and business owner with a disability from Broome, the Kimberley. He is the author of three books, all published with Magabala Books: ‘Joshua and the Two Crabs’, ‘Steve Goes to Carnival’, and ‘At The Zoo I See’. Follow Josh’s business here.

For the last two months, Josh has been creating new artworks and a screenplay for The Buttonverse, a project exploring different versions of himself from his past, present and future.

Join us for a special evening of enjoying the artworks Josh has produced in a small exhibition in the Centre for Stories heritage building and listen to a yarn between arts worker Luisa Mitchell and the artist himself. This project was funded thanks to the Department of Local Government, Sport and Culture and disability support provider My Place.

Tea, coffee and finger food provided.
