Breaking The Glass Slipper

Breaking The Glass Slipper is all about moving past the 'common narrative' usually centred around whiteness and the hegemonic and/or privileged experience.

Aug 22, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Centre for Stories

Join us for an evening of readings from writers who completed the Centre for Stories Inclusion Matters Hot Desk Fellowship over 2019-2020.

Breaking The Glass Slipper is about moving past a common narrative centred around whiteness and privilege. It is about looking towards those who don’t normally get a platform to share their experiences. Our readers will share stories that disrupt and challenge the status quo, and provide new perspectives.

Facilitated by Kaya Ortiz and featuring Adele Aria, Alexander Te Pohe, Emily Sun, and Patrick Gunasekera.
