Undercurrent: Poetry in the City with Sun Mi Clyburn at Story Lounge
Sep 17, 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Story Lounge
Undercurrent is a series of spoken word afternoons.
Each month, local artists are invited to respond to a theme and experience new poetry in the city, which can take any form – a poem, a story, a song, or a hybrid of a combination of forms.
The theme for this event is ‘inhale’.
Connect, reflect, and, maybe, intersect.
Curated and hosted by Sun Mi Clyburn.
Sun Mi is a Perth-based writer, multidisciplinary artist and theatre maker, with African American and French heritage. She was born in the USA, grew up in Poland and now calls Australia home. Sun–Mi’s writing and art explore love, loss, death, grief, fragmented identity, friendship and finding home. She finds her sanity in music, long walks, dancing and swimming – the colder the water, the better.

This event is free to attend but please register to attend below.
TOILET
Please note that the Story Lounge does not have a bathroom but visitors can use the public toilets across Hay Street Mall at the Enex Building.
THANK YOU
Story Lounge would not be possible without the Humich Group who donated the Hay Street Mall shopfront to activate the CBD for local writers and artists, as well as financial support from the City of Perth and Australia Council for the Arts.
