Centre for Stories
Side Walks is a dynamic, one-day celebration of storytelling in its various forms across Northbridge and the Perth CBD. Bringing together artists, writers, journalists and poets from across multiple disciplines, Side Walks presents six free unique events in venues both usual and unusual. From poetry to crime writing, literature to oral storytelling, these engaging events will inspire, challenge, and delight.
In The Making of Me, Ron Bradfield Jr will draw upon cultural notions important to Bardi peoples to explore how a collision of cultures shaped his journey into manhood. He will discuss how Aboriginal people across Australia have had to adapt to Australian culture.
Following this, Ron will be in-conversation with Sisonke Msimang.
