The SFF (Science Fiction, Fantasy, Speculative Fiction) Collective is a group that meets regularly to discuss topics relating to SFF books and share book recommendations across the genre.

This meeting of the SFF Collective will discuss fairy-tales in all their forms. What do we define as ‘fairy-tale’ – what are some examples?  How have tropes from faery influenced other genres? Why are fairy-tale adaptations so popular today? And lastly does Australia have any fairy-tales of our own?

Authors to consider for this session include but are not limited to J R R Tolkien, The Brothers Grimms, Hans Christian Anderson, Kate Forsyth, Neil Gaiman, Kate DiCamillo and Carmel Bird.

Although this is a free event, RSVP is essential.
