Story Lounge
This Queer YA Short Story Workshop, hosted by Seth Malacari from Get YA Words Out, is an in-depth workshop for LGBTQIA+ writers and allies.
The first half will be a lecture where participants will learn all there is to know about writing queer short stories for a young adult audience.
The second half will be a workshopping session where participants can practice their craft with expert guidance.
Participants should bring something to write on/with.
Light refreshments provided.
TICKETING
This event is pay-what-you-can and the recommended price is $25 .00per person. It is free for First Nations persons.
TOILET
Please note that the Story Lounge does not have a bathroom but visitors can use the public toilets across Hay Street Mall at the Enex Building.

Collapse BioSeth Malacari (he/they) is an award winning writer and founder of Get YA Words Out. His work has appeared in Underdog: #LoveOzYA Short Stories (2019), he has a Masters of Writing from Deakin University, and is the former Chair of LoveOzYA.
