Centre for Stories

Side Walks is an annual pop-up storytelling, ideas and literature festival run by Centre for Stories. In unique venues across Perth and Northbridge, Side Walks is a curated whirlwind of talks, performances and readings with a special emphasis on homegrown talent.

Back for the third time round, Side Walks 2021 is programmed around the theme of still: still here, still strong, still like the light on water, still and yet. Side Walks theme of still is about taking a moment to reflect on where we are, to embrace community here, to remain and become still no matter what the future holds.

Side Walks is a program of seven events. Six of the events are divided into two parallel blocks – the City Block and the Northbridge Block. These blocks run at the same time, so you can only choose one! The final event will bring both blocks together for a special finale, followed by the Side Walks afterparty. You can purchase tickets to the finale event through Perth Theatre Trust.

Side Walks has been made possible with funding from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Centre for Stories’ Founders Circle, Aspen Corporate Financial Planning, and Rayner Real Estate. Special thanks to our in-kind venue partners, Randal Humich, St Georges Cathedral, and North Metropolitan TAFE.
