Lintas Laut

The Centre for Stories is pleased to announce Lintas Laut. This is a new project that has been funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Australia Indonesia Institute

Lintas Laut focuses on an exchange of writers between Western Australia and Eastern Indonesia, shining a light on parts of both nations that are often under represented in cultural dialogue. Working with local partners, the Centre for Stories will be hosted in Indonesia as a way to promote the links between both places. In exchange, we will open our doors for a residency at the Centre for Stories that will allow us to showcase our events, workshops, and our community. This is about the creation of new relationships and new works in the in-between spaces. It will allow the public to hear about marginalised stories and is a way to celebrate sharing culture across borders.
