Zarah Burgess is a published poet and narrative fiction writer of Indian and Scottish ancestry. She spent her childhood on Braiakaulung country (Sale, Victoria) before moving to Boorloo (Perth), where she now lives with a very sooky Kelpie. When she is not writing, gardening or cooking, she is in the courtroom where she practices as a criminal lawyer. You can read some of her poems on Instagram: @the.part.time.poet
