Susan is both a photographer and a watercolour artist. Initially taking photos as reference for her art work, her artistic eye came into play when composing images. Susan’s interest in China began in the late 1970’s when she accompanied her mother to Shanghai on a buying trip for her mother’s business, and in the early 1980s when she visited China with her brother. In later years, Susan and her husband travelled to China several times, seeing a wide variety of cities. Her love of landscapes, flowers, and birds influences her choice of subjects. Portraiture has become also become a favourite. Susan’s travel to Europe and many parts of Asia has inspired her landscapes and street photography. Susan’s photography hangs in private collections around the world and has been exhibited in New York, Cape Town, Paris, Essen and Amsterdam
