Saadia Ahmed

A photograph of Saadia Ahmed

Saadia Ahmed is a writer, journalist, voiceover artist, and activist from Pakistan who moved to Australia less than two years ago. An architect by qualification, Saadia Ahmed found her solace in writing and drama after graduating from the architecture school. Her work is regularly published in the leading publications in Pakistan with special emphasis on human rights in general and women rights in particular.

Saadia Ahmed has also been involved in activism through theatre and has worked for the rights of the religious minorities and persecuted communities in Pakistan. She writes all day long and grabs a view of the sunset by the river whenever she can.

Australia, to her, is the country that has allowed her to become more of who she is and help her understand better a diverse perspective of life. In an ideal world, Saadia Ahmed would like to watch the day go by in a world that is free and fair to all.
