Mei Saraswati

A woman smiling at the camera

Mei Swan Lim entered the arts world through the moniker ‘Mei Saraswati’ in 2007. Self taught in the craft of making electronic music – she collages field recordings, voice, sampling and instrumentation. She seeks to investigate the intersections of natural and built environments and explore music-making as a self-directed therapy. Her latest musical release Devotions samples natural sounds from the Swan River, Mullaboo Beach, Joondalup and Wanneroo and intertwine them with spiritual writings from the Baha’i faith.
