
Kevin DeSouza graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1986. In 1987 Kevin was arrested and detained without trail by the Singapore Government for being part of what the Government called a Marxist plot. Kevin migrated to Australia and was admitted to practice in Western Australia in 2005. He was previously a committee member of the Law Society’s Criminal Legal Aid Scheme in Singapore and was a Board Member of Case for Refugees, an organisation providing legal assistance to asylum seekers and refugees in Western Australia. He is currently a volunteer lawyer with the Perth Branch of the Citizens Advice Bureau, a community legal organisation. He was previously the Vice President of the Australian Eurasian Association of Western Australia and was also involved with Amnesty International.
