Janine Freeman

Having advocated for working people throughout her career, Janine Freeman was the State Parliamentary MP for the Mirrabooka community from 2008 to March 2021.  In her augural speech Janine thanked many people but in particular she recognised the women’s movement for fuelling her passion and giving her opportunities to be part of the struggle. Janine is currently the Independent Chair of the State Emergency Relief Committee and Fair Food WA. Her story is about her experiences as a woman in politics.
