Catherine Matthys

A woman looking through a camera lens

Catherine developed the skill of uncovering peace and beauty in the ordinariness of things. ‘A passion for capturing moments of beautiful simplicity is what motivates me to pick up my camera most days’, says Catherine. ‘My heart jumps when I see a scene that conveys an evocative visual story.’ Catherine completed a Graduate Diploma in Creative Industries majoring in Photomedia in 2017 at Edith Cowan University. She won the 2017 Independent Photographer award for travel in Berlin.
