Alana Grant grew up between Mandurah and Perth. She left home in her mid-teens, working on farms and boats to fund her travels around Australia and abroad. She studied art and became dedicated to environmental campaigns that sought to preserve the landscape. Alana is mother to two daughters, the youngest of which has Down Syndrome. Many years later, she finds herself back in Mandurah with her children, amongst the creativity and the ocean. Alana believes that belonging matters, and protecting what matters, matters even more.
