Due to COVID-19, this event will take place online via Zoom.

Zoom can be downloaded for free here. Purchase your ticket below, and we will email you a link to the Zoom meeting. We do this manually, so please be patient with us! If you haven’t received the link (and you’ve checked your junk folder), please email us at info@centreforstories.com.

Stories from Home is an intimate live storytelling event shared online through Zoom. Featuring different storytellers, it invites audiences to listen and learn about a diverse range of people. Told from first person perspectives, you will hear how people make sense of the world, what matters to them, and why stories are as important now as they ever were. You can support the Centre as much as you wish with ‘Choose What You Pay’ tickets. Starting at $5, this is a way to support community artists during this time.

This week’s storyteller is Amarjit Kaur.

When Amarjit moved to New Zealand with a toddler and baby on the way, the last thing she expected was to develop a close friendship with a stranger at the bus stop. Adrienne Smith became a dear friend, but after Amarjit moved with her family to Australia, they lost connection. This story is about looking for Adrienne Smith.
