The SFF (Science Fiction, Fantasy, Speculative Fiction) Collective is a group that meets regularly to discuss topics relating to SFF books and share book recommendations across the genre.

This special Halloween themed meet up of the SFF Collective is all about spooky books. What are some of your favourite scary reads? Who are some good SFF horror authors? What is cosmic horror? Is horror-romance possible? What do monsters mean and how is our relationship with the monstrous changing? Why are vampires sexy instead of scary? Books and writers discussed in this session may include but not be limited to Frankenstein, Edgar Allan Poe, Junji Ito, China Mieville, and H. P. Lovecraft.

Although this event is free, RSVP is essential.
