Sep 24, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Learn the fundamentals needed to write a screenplay in this introductory workshop led by Jesse Laurie, a screenwriting lecturer at Curtin University’s SAE: Creative Media Institute and the WA Screen Academy, and a freelance script consultant and script reader.
Using the Six Pillars Of Storytelling, Jesse will take you through the ‘concept to completion’ process for writing your script, touching on ideation, concept development, synopsis’, scene outlining, and the first draft.
Please note this event is being hosted at Story Lounge, our pop-up literary hub in Hay Street Mall in Perth’s CBD.
Tickets are $30.00.
Companion card holders are welcome, please contact us on (08) 9328 1443 or at firstname.lastname@example.org to organise this.
If you are experiencing financial hardship, you can contact us to arrange entry at no charge on (08) 9328 1443 or at email@example.com.
Please note that the Story Lounge does not have a bathroom but visitors can use the public toilets across Hay Street Mall at the Enex Building.
Story Lounge would not be possible without the Humich Group who donated the Hay Street Mall shopfront to activate the CBD for local writers and artists, as well as financial support from the City of Perth and Australia Council for the Arts.
