Flipbook Animation Workshop for Young People
Ever wanted to transform your stories and drawings into mini-movies you can carry in your pocket? Join professional artist Nina Dakin for this dynamic 3-hour workshop where you’ll discover the magical principles of animation. Learn how to create captivating flipbooks using simple pencil and paper techniques that bring your illustrations to life with movement and storytelling.
Perfect for young creatives aged 13-16, you’ll explore a fresh and exciting way to tell stories frame by frame, expressing ideas through motion that words alone cannot capture. This free workshop is part of The Spark initiative, presented in partnership with the City of Joondalup and fully funded by DLGSC and Healthway. Take home your very own handmade animation that you can flip through again and again — turning your artistic ideas into stories that literally move!
Workshop will be held in partnership with the City of Joondalup on the Youth Truck at Kinross Skate Park Carpark (behind IGA).
