First Nations Write Night

Our First Nations and Friends Write Night is an opportunity to celebrate First Nations stories and storytellers and write in safe, collaborative space.

Featuring

Jun 6, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Centre for Stories

Our monthly First Nations Write Night is an opportunity for First Nations people and their friends of all backgrounds to come together to develop their writing alongside one another.

Through an informal conversation we discuss a selected book each month, explore its themes and draw inspiration from them as we work on own writing. All writing styles and forms are welcome – poetry, fiction, memoir, screenplays, etc. People will have the opportunity to share their progress with the group and receive feedback.

Everyone is welcome to attend this safe, collaborative space. You can bring your own snacks or dinner to eat during our break.

This session will be facilitated by Casey Mulder and Luisa Mitchell. The selected text for this month will be ANNOUNCED closer to the date; it is not essential to have read the text beforehand as we will be reading an excerpt together before our discussion.
