Have you ever wanted to transform your ideas into a script for the big screen?
Learn the basics of screenwriting with Dr Peter Gall, a semi-finalist-winning screenwriter with a background in entrepreneurship. This is a perfect workshop for beginners.
In this 2-hour interactive workshop, you will cover:
- The basics of screenwriting
- The essential building blocks to writing a pilot episode
- Formatting skills
- Writing a great logline and synopses
- Receive a hand-out of recommended screenplay writing books and resources
Workshop schedule:
- First hour – Theory and presentation.
- 15 minute break – You are welcome to bring your own dinner if you like.
- Final 45 minutes – Writing time on your own idea, with feedback from Dr Peter Gall.
ABOUT DR PETER GALL
WHAT TO BRING
Please bring your own device and/or materials to work from (laptop, tablet, or a notepad and pen).
No screenwriting software (e.g. Final Draft) for your computer is needed – you will be able to use Microsoft Word or another writing program.

Perth Train Station is just a 10 minute walk from Centre for Stories, or there is nearby parking at Wilson Parking on 6-8 Errichetti Place, Northbridge, which is a 2-minute walk away from Centre for Stories.
