Undercurrent is a series of spoken word afternoons. Each month, local artists are invited to respond to a theme and experience new poetry in the city, which can take any form – a poem, a story, a song, or a hybrid of a combination of forms. The theme of this event is 'stretch'.
Walk the CBD and participate in a discussion and workshop on writing queer spaces.

For teachers of creative writing in secondary schools, these workshops are suited to a range of abilities, from a basic understanding of narrative to the capacity to experiment with language, form and structure, thus modelling students’ differing abilities.

Our First Nations Book Club is an introduction to a diverse range of texts by First Nations authors. Facilitated by either Casey Mulder or Luisa Mitchell, and featuring occasional guest facilitators, this is not to be missed!
Centre for Stories
Story Lounge is a pop-up literary hub in Perth’s CBD open to the public. Inside you’ll find a First Nations library you can explore, a listening station where you can access our archive of oral stories, and a recording station where you can share your memories of Perth with us.
