Write Night (Cancelled)

Tuesday March 24, 2020
18:00 - 20:00
THIS IS A FREE EVENT
  • This event has passed.

Do you struggle to carve out distraction free writing time? Are you looking for a safe group environment to work on your writing? Would you like to meet other writers in your community? Then this group is for you! Our aim is to facilitate two forty minute writing blocks, distraction free, with prompts for those who need them. You may not always be happy with what you write during this time (and be honest, who ever really is at first) but your word count will increase! This is your time, and your safe space. Come and write with us every fortnight on a Tuesday in the beautiful, historic setting that is the Centre for Stories in Northbridge and watch your project take shape.

  • 6pm – 6.15pm Warm up exercises
  • 6.20pm –7pm First writing block
  • 7pm –7.15pm Dinner and discussion break (BYO food or use the time some other way – writers only participating in the second block should arrive during this time)
  • 7.20pm – 8pm Second writing block

Please feel free to bring snacks or an evening meal to eat at the break, but note that we need to respect the Centre and be as tidy as possible. You will need to bring your own laptops or pen and paper to work on.

Tickets are $5 per person. We will no longer be accepting door sales for this event, so please secure your place beforehand by purchasing your ticket below. Spaces are limited to 12 people.

Missed out on a ticket?  Email christopher.karsten@gmail.com to go on the waitlist. Please include ‘Write Night’ in your subject line.
