World Human Rights Day: Celebrating Activists

In partnership with the Curtin Centre for Human Rights and Refugee Rights Action Network, the Centre for Stories is delighted to invite you to join us to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Come along and hear three amazing activists share their stories of activism.

Riyadh Al Hakimi

Riyadh Al Hakimi is a Masters graduate in International Studies, and a human rights practitioner. He came to Australia from homeland Iraq as a refugee and has returned on occasion to help in restorative community work.

Misty Farquhar

Misty Farquhar is a PhD Researcher at the Curtin University Centre for Human Rights Education, and teaches at both Curtin University and the University of WA

The Centre is a ten minute walk from the Perth train station and the Perth Busport, and is serviced by regular CAT buses.

Parking
Parking is available at the CPP Aberdeen street car park (25 metre walk) or at Wilsons car park on Zempilas St (10 metres).

Wheelchair access is provided. The Centre for Stories aims to be an inclusive and supportive community venue, please contact us if you have any questions.
