A fun and inspirational workshop for young people wanting to work in the arts.

Jul 11, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Centre for Stories

UPDATE: Unfortunately this event has been cancelled due to low ticket sales. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause.

Are you a young person aged 15 – 19 interested in working in the arts? Join writer, filmmaker and producer Luisa Mitchell in a fun and interactive 2-hour session where you’ll get to ask questions and be guided through her best tips and tricks for getting started in the arts. Parents are welcome to have a cup of tea or read a book in our beautiful heritage library while their kids participate in the workshop.

This session is particularly suited for those interested in:

Luisa will provide tips on education (e.g. is university the right path for you?), applying for opportunities and grants, starting your own publications or programs, finding jobs, and how to discover your ‘why’, or purpose, behind your art.

The workshop will begin with a presentation/group discussion, and then finish with creative mapping activities where we manifest and visualise our future aspirations.
