Side Walks is a one-day sprawling adventure of literature and storytelling across Perth City and Northbridge, celebrating local stories, and activating spaces with arts and culture. Join us on this big day out with friends new and old.

Side Walks is comprised of six events taking place over two phases. You can choose to come to the CITY BLOCK, the NORTHBRIDGE BLOCK, or commit to the full-day experience and come to both. All events are free, but RSVP is essential! Scroll down to register your attendance.

CITY BLOCK

Third Culture Kids – 12:45pm, Toastface Grillah
Chris Lin kicks off Side Walks with a conversation about identity in the diaspora. Featuring Gisele Ishimwe, Rafael Gonzalez, and Alexander Te Pohe.

My Worst Critic – 2pm, King St Collective
Personal stories about our biggest critics. Featuring Maanas Tiwari, Garick Lee, and Zoe Bradfield.

Indian Matchmaker – 3pm, Studio 281
A closer look at Netflix’s ‘Indian Matchmaking’ and the real-life consequences of the billion-dollar marriage-industrial complex. Featuring Rashida Murphy, Gerard D’cruz, and Saadia Ahmed.

ACCESSIBILITY

All venues are either fully or partially accessible. Side Walks is a pop-up style program, meaning some of our venues are not typically utilised for events and may require some audience members to stand. AUSLAN interpreting is available upon request. Our starting venue for the CITY BLOCK is Toastface Grillah. Please note, Toastface Grillah has three locations across Perth and Northbridge. We will be meeting at their Wolf Lane store.
