Join us for an evening of celebration as Ascolta Women present their three anthologies of creative writing and artwork reflecting significant themes informed by the Italian feminist diaspora in Australia: Stories from the Inside (2021) exploring isolation and resilience during COVID; Stories from La Tavola (2022) challenging the role of food in Italian Australian women’s identities; Stories from La Notte (2023) deconstructing female stereotypes associated with the night.
Ticket price is including light refreshments. Registrations are essential.
Copies of the books will be available for purchase on the night (cash payment only).

ABOUT ASCOLTA WOMEN
Ascolta Women is a collective of creative, multigeneration Italian, Italian Australian, and Italian affiliated women from across Australia and London, established in 2020 to give voice, and to listen (ascoltare), to unheard stories from the Italian diaspora.
Ascolta Women pursue, reflect, and express their stories through creative writing, photography, and visual arts, and with academic and community dialogues.
ABOUT DR MARIA PALLOTTA-CHIAROLLI (AM)
Maria is an activist, academic, ally and Ascolta Women member. WA Centre for Stories established a Writers’ Fellowship under Maria’s name in 2022 which is financially supported by Curtin University Emeritus Professor Baden Offord, his husband Christopher McFarlane, and their lifelong friend, educator John Ryan.
