Hellie Turner is a prolific, veteran playwright/director who has written for all sectors of theatre. She has numerous awards and production credits to her name. This includes having won the WA Book Award (script) twice. Hellie was resident playwright for ‘kompany M’, professional WA theatre ensemble 2005-2010, where her work attracted a number of tours. She teaches the craft of playwriting and works as a dramaturg/script assessor. Hellie consistently mentors new and emerging playwrights having worked with new indigenous writers from Yirra Yaakin Theatre for the past decade.
