Centre for Stories is looking for expressions of interest from experienced trainers to work on a freelance basis. We are interested in working with people who have facilitated workshops and moderated public conversations, and who have a strong background either in adult education, corporate leadership and team-building, or narrative storytelling. Experience across both the private and community sectors is welcomed as well as training in theatre, film or literature with an understanding of the Hero’s Journey, storytelling and developing narrative arcs.
Centre for Stories is prepared to develop the content skills of experienced trainers, but we are looking for people who are comfortable working across diverse groups of people and in various settings and who have strong speaking and listening skills. Empathy, compassion and a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion are important personal attributes.
If you think you fit the bill please complete the below form, or send a resume and a one-page summary of your skills to firstname.lastname@example.org, along with three references from people within organisations where you have worked over the course of the last 18-24 months. Letters from workshop participants are also welcome. Applications close 25 February 2022.
We’re committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace and strongly encourage application from people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, LGBTQIA+, culturally and linguistically diverse, or living with disability.
